Hello!

Hayden is a full-time registered nurse. She works some of the toughest cases in the emergency department as both an ER/Trauma Nurse and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. Hayden has 3 kids and is married to Matt. Matt is a machinist at the railroad who had no idea his destiny was to become a farm hand in his free time. Matt is the guy who makes Hayden’s visions come to life. As for the three kids, they hear “mom needs help in the garden” and run!

Makenzie has devoted her career to the crop insurance industry, but has always found ways to stay creative. Makenzie and her husband, Dominic have three cute pups, chickens, barn cats and the occasional bottle calf to keep things interesting. Dominic’s trucking profession has been a vital resource for our farms. He is the guy to count on when we need mulch, dirt, sand or seems to always "know a guy" for any odd job.

Hayden and Makenzie live down the road from each other and both agree that there is nothing quite like the solitude of rural living. With our parents right around the corner we get to enjoy the amenities of having family close. Our oldest sister has sworn off country life for the suburbs of Kansas City. She comes to visit often…and also avoids the garden like Hayden’s kids!

​If we aren’t working on the farm you will often find us enjoying the sunset on the porch with a family style dinner and cold beverage in hand.
